Nymburk is the best so far

person I know described me Nymburk as a ghetto near Prague. For some reason, this comparison had stuck with me ever since. And yet, I promised myself that I wouldn't listen to anyone else’s travel tips, and get first-hand experience. After all, I’d always seen things in a completely different way than most people.

I can now honestly say that Nymburk has become my favourite city in Central Bohemia so far. I have never seen such a city before, small, well-developped and in harmony with nature. The atmosphere somehow reminds me of Freistadt, Austria, a place we visited last winter. For such a small town there are plenty of different restaurants and places to spend your free time. It even has a healthy food store.
The city is in absolutely great repair. The schools count among the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen in the Czech Republic, at least as their façades are concerned. Everything is close to everything else. The town is cosy and clean.
Nymburkers do sports a lot, and those who are visiting the city as well. They go for a ride on skates, roller skates, bikes… and on anything possible!
I really liked the place. If I considered to live outside of Prague, I would definitely think of Nymburk.
