The main foreign city near Prague, - and the closest. The bus ride takes only 2 hours. Dresden is one of the ten largest cities in Germany and offers a lot: amazing old and modern architecture, high quality shopping and many galleries and exhibitions.

The city is very diverse. I have been there 3 times and have not seen everything yet.

Görlitz

One of the best-preserved cities in Europe, it did not suffer destruction during the Second World War. Many famous films have been shot in this city, such as The Reader, Inglourious Basterds or The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Görlitz is not big; that’s why one full day will be enough to visit it well. It is 3 hours by bus from Prague. It is also interesting, that just one bridge separates it from the Polish Zhořelec. Once you have crossed the bridge, not only will you find yourself in another country, but will also use a different currency.

Linz

Austrian city, very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful small-sized historical centre. You can get to Linz by bus or by train. It is the third largest city is Autria and the capital of the region of Upper Austria.

Leipzig

For my taste, this is one of the most pleasant cities in Germany. I would like to point out that I have already visited a lot of cities in Germany and have even spent a month in that country.

Clean city with a good contrast of modern and ancient architecture.

Nürnberg

The most comfortable city on my list with a very rich, stunning architectural heritage. Saturday farmers’ markets in the central square and much more.
